Collections & Information Assurance Manager
BROAD FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee the collection team to provide leadership and direction to the team and responsible for achieving and/exceeding monthly collection revenue targets and business objectives

  • Ensure Collection services team operates in compliance with global security policies, local regulatory requirements and security requirements by banking and non-banking clients as service provider

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the conceptualization, development and implementation of plans for the company's future expansion
  • Ensure the smooth running of collection operations for in-house and field collections team
  • Supervise the collection team in maintaining a consistently high level of performance and follow-up with appropriate coaching/ counseling/ training activities to inspire and develop team members to meet monthly targets
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance & SLA reports
  • Establish collection goals, perform regular analysis of collection results and trends, and initiate immediate corrective action if necessary
  • Introduce effective collection strategies to maximize collection
  • Handle all clients' and debtors' complaints promptly and effectively
  • Assists and work closely with the Credit Services-sales team to identify potential customers for Experian
  • Handle all collection clients' audit requirements to comply with global security policies, local regulatory requirements and security requirements of clients. This includes clients' external audit - Group Audit, Annual Audit for Information Security, Physical Security, Due Diligence, Operations Controls, Quarterly audits and OSPAR (Outsourcing service provider audit report) by banking clients
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of documentation of procedures, processes, workflows, guidelines and records of decisions and changes related to all audits
  • Review business processes and contracts for on-boarding new clients for collection services
  • Administer regular reviews and work with relevant stakeholder to ensure actions are taken on any gaps and areas of improvements identified
  • Ensure collection team is aware of and adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of Experian's clients
  • Monitor actions taken and drive the resolution/closure of any gaps identified by the auditors with the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Any other duties assigned
We need an individual who is competent in collection operational matters to lead a team as well as good knowledge and experience in the areas of information security, risk, compliance and audit. As the individual is required to communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders/auditors, good planning, organizational and stakeholder management skills are essential. It is important for the individual to have an eye for details and possesses good analytical and documentation skills for administering reviews, following up on gap resolutions and maintain an up-to-date library of documentation of procedures and processes .

  • University degree holder
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin spoken and written
  • Experience in a Collection role and at least 1 to 2 years' experience in information security, risk, compliance and audit
  • Familiar with MAS & ABS outsourced service provider guidelines
  • Extensive experience in all level Stakeholder management
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate deep personal drive and accountability for great performance and results delivery
  • Possess operational maturity with strong and proven organizational skills
  • Managerial skills - Strong people developer with a proven ability to manage, coach and inspire highly intelligent, high achieving, analytical teammates
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse team and influence/drive change across functional teams
  • Hands on - Capable and effective - able and ready to take a hands-on role in solving organization challenges and in making improvements
