You will have global responsibility to lead and oversee the Group’s tax function and supporting the Group’s business in areas such as tax advisory, tax optimisation, compliance, risk management, transfer pricing and the related documentation. You will drive cross boarders tax related projects and to ensure efficient group business structure, follow the tax development of our operating countries and advise their implication. Driving the annual tax budget exercise and the continuous monitoring of the tax cost for the Group is part of the role’s fundamental responsibility, along with ensuring local entities to comply with the Group's global policy and local tax laws. Working closely with senior management, you will also be actively involved providing strategic tax advice for M&A projects and on leading the group’s business’ entry into new countries/markets. You may also need to work with country tax authorities and our external tax consultants. This is a broad-based role that requires a commercially astute tax manager in order to work effectively. Provide functional leadership to business group’s tax managers and lead the review and the enforcement of the Group’s tax compliances matters.
Ideally, you should possess a good degree in accountancy or law or any relevant business degree with specialisation in taxation and with at least 15 years experience in a sizable MNC leading the tax function. Several years' exposure in regional/international tax is a must, coupled with strong tax structuring and transfer pricing experience. Ideally familiar with regional jurisdiction like Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to keep thing simple, are an effective negotiator, culturally sensitive, and have the confidence and maturity to deal with all levels of staff.
