JobDescription

The OTC Margin CSR Team currentlysupport client facing OTC Clearing functions within the CIB. The team undertakethe essential task of agreeing and settling margin values with clients for thepurpose of covering the Banks risk against OTC Cleared clients. The successfulcandidate will be a Bournemouth based member of this team responsible bothclient service and operations functions.
As part of the CIB's Global Clearing model theEMEA OTC Margin team provide a controlled environment for the mitigation ofcounterparty risk via the monitoring and collection of assets (Cash &Collateral).
Key objectivesof this team will be to provide clients with the option of receiving singleconsolidated reporting/statements, a single funding point for settlementactivity and a single point of contact for supporting daily activity acrossDerivatives Collateral Management and Derivatives Settlements. The ClientService Representative will deal primarily with buy-side clients (Hedge Funds,Investment Advisors/Asset Managers) and will develop partnerships internallywith various Marketers/Salespeople, individuals in Prime Brokerage, CreditExecutives, Middle Offices, and Line of Business Operations Teams.

Summaryof Responsibilities

This role will report to the EMEA OTCTeam Leader in Bournemouth and be responsible for a combination of thefollowing tasks in order to support the team's responsibilities:
  • Continued development of the Clearing Client Service offering.
  • Providing a flexible approach in order to support the prime brokerage/clearing businesses in a continually changing market environment.
  • Answering of incoming margin calls sent by clients comparing them to JP Morgan's exposure and agreeing on the amount and type of collateral to be moved.
  • Follow up on any counterparty fails and investigation of disputed margin requirements.
  • Timely resolution of incoming queries regarding a client's portfolio. Escalation of issues.


Skillsand Qualifications

  • External Client services experience, or similar experience interacting with senior/demanding internal clients and effective relationship building with a wide variety of stakeholders, for example; Clients, Credit Execs and Business Partners.
  • Working knowledge of OTC Derivative products, Futures and Options, or similar background.
  • Problem solver with the ability to assist in the development of solutions for clients and strategic thinker, able to review and implement process improvements .
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is required and highly numerate with good keyboard and core system (Outlook, Excel, Word) skills.
  • Must possess heightened communication skills, as the role involves detailed interactions across multiple lines of business and core processing areas.
