Data Management Programme – Technical Lead -London

Currently working with an important client who are seeking for a data management technical lead to join their team. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Designing and implementing solutions

· Assisting delivery teams with technical design and implementation challenges

· Empowering the agile development teams to take ownership of software

· Driving continuous improvement 

· Adding input into planning phases 

· Working with project and programme management to ensure that the technology solutions    are delivering maximum business value

· Taking the lead in finding solutions to complex technical problems, partnering with               analysts,                  

· architecture and project managers to define the most appropriate solution

· Performing technical analysis to support tasks as required ranging from short term urgent       issues to longer term strategic projects.  

· Ensuring deliverables meet the architecture and design, in a maintainable manner.

· Ensuring deliverables meet performance and scalability objectives

· Liaising with programme / project managers, clients, functional analysts and developers as  appropriate to ensure solution design and implementation is in line with business requirements.

Skills & Qualifications: 

· Delivery record in software development

· Solution driven.  Must be able to show initiative, use technology to provide solutions to        

· stakeholders 

· Some experience in Java, experience in Spring and Spring Boot

· Good experience of using Oracle, performance tuning, Database deployments 

· Some ETL or batch experience

· Exposure to Linux / Unix 

· Experience of Mentoring, including code review

· Software Development Lifecycle tooling and management

· Some exposure to Test Driven Development

· Some understanding of Big Data (Hadoop / Spark) is advantageous but not necessary
