POSITION
Requirements
An interest in financial services / asset management is fundamental to success in this role as the successful candidate will be working with business functions and providing insights in to all aspects of the Firm's business.  A candidate with a technical skillset or a desire to build one (including experience in or an interest in Tableau, SQL) in addition to a Finance related background would be highly desirable. Reporting, financial analysis, and advanced excel skills are important as well as any database skills.  The successful candidate will have a sharp intellect, a commitment to grow, enthusiasm and above all a work ethic that is second to none. Our preference is for a candidate with 3+ years of relevant professional experience
Description
The Finance Analyst will provide a broad array of financial support on behalf of the Financial Operations and Analysis team, including activities pertaining to financial analysis, revenue reporting, forecasting and management reporting.   The role requires a good understanding of Wellington's business and is a superb opportunity to learn how an asset management firm works.   As such, this candidate will also support various business functions of the firm including the Global Relationship Group, Product Management, Portfolio Management, Investment Research, and many of our management and oversight Committees.

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include: 

         Management reporting on investment and relationship teams for Regional Heads of Offices, Global Relationship Group, Regional Board Members and Strategic Relationship Advisory Committee

         Leverage different systems and sources to build reports (Financial Reporting Platform, Performance Reporter, AIM, Product Master and Salesforce)

         Provide analysis on books of businesses, assets under management, revenue, net client growth, accounts at-risk, pipeline, and performance

         Devise processes to improve the distribution speed of data and analysis, leveraging tools such as Tableau

         Draft and deliver business update talking points for town halls and committee meetings for Heads of Offices

         Prioritize conflicting deliverables while effectively managing expectations of the end users

         Assist with the identification and implementation of system and process enhancements

Qualifications
         Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials is preferred, although not essential if there is sufficient relevant professional experience

         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

         Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment

         Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills

         Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required

         Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

         Proficient in Excel along with an interest in developing Access and SQL skills and learning how to use various report writing software/tools (Tableau experience would be a bonus)
