Middleware Support Engineer
Why is our Middleware Support team the next step for you? This role sits within our Hosting and Application Services. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing middleware support for a wide range of middleware products, including 3rd line BAU support for production and pre-production environments.
How will you contribute on a day-to-day basis? In this role, you'll provide 3 rd line middleware support responsibilities including installation, configuration, maintenance and live support of middleware services hosted on Linux and Microsoft operating systems in a highly virtualised environment and subject to strict change management and service level agreements. You'll provide high standards of service from a middleware perspective in terms of service maintenance, new capability requests, fault prevention and resolution. You'll provide technical expertise within the following technologies: Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Fusion products such as ORMB, Documaker, ODI, and Java/ J2EE.

As part of this role, you'll participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support. You'll take on discretionary projects and engineering tasks and participate in the shaping and continuous improvement for Middleware Support.
What will make you the right fit for the team? You'll have experience supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware products like Oracle Weblogic (including Coherence & OHS), Oracle Revenue Management & Billing (ORMB), Oracle Documaker, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle OBIEE and Oracle Enterprise Manager. You'll have experience of 3 rd level support for business critical production systems, ITIL experience and knowledge of Java/J EE and associated concepts including Object-Oriented and Service-Oriented design. We are looking for strong analytical skills coupled with a methodical approach to fault investigation and resolution, and a service management ethos and disciplined approach to management of support tasks.

You'll have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and experience with Service Now and JIRA are ideal.
