Product Data Manager CFS
Working across both business and technology the data strategy program delivery manager will be responsible for the delivery and integration of the data strategy program. To include a review of the existing deliverables, priorities and objectives of the program to ensure delivery to satisfy client commitments and business requirements.

The Product Data Manager role can sit in either NAM/EMEA
Job Background / Context:
  • Citi is driving a period of sustained change in a complex and challenging market environment.  This role entails focus on one of the major initiatives in Custody and Funds Services (CFS) EMEA to drive our strategy working with our current clients and potential prospects
  • Our CFS strategy is to be the best in class across the key CFS services of Custody, Fund Administration, Middle Office & data delivery & reporting. The ethos is to leverage and configure state of the art technologies and advanced techniques to deliver the strategic client servicing model.  
  • The role will be central to the delivery of the data strategy program to .
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Maintain, review and ensure delivery of the program in line with the product strategy and vision
  • Facilitate clarity on prioritisation for current data strategy milestones and objectives
  • Ensure robust communication channels with key stakeholders and that delivery expectations are effectively managed and understood
  • Provide clear communication to program on risks, issues and associated impediments to development and delivery milestones
  • Ensure effective use of Agile/dev ops delivery methodology by business and technology. Make use of opportunities for new ways of working to meet delivery/development deadlines for data strategy.
  • Ensure data strategy components are effectively integrated to effect business and operational change
Skills:
  • Portfolio, program level change management experience with a proven track record of delivery across global and complex projects
  • Background in financial services focusing on asset servicing including custody and Fund services
  • Able to facilitate a 'one team' approach to development/delivery across business and technology
  • Strong management of  expectations and communicate to senior stakeholders
  • Track record in managing strategic portfolios and programmes across product, function and operations.
  • Ability to work to work under pressure, manage complex issues and create clarity to facilitate prioritisation and decision making
  • Experience of structured project and delivery methodologies and the product lifecycle
  • Business background with sound technology understanding
Education Qualifications Graduate Level (in Finance, Commerce or Equivalent Discipline) or equivalent Professional Qualification

  • Define & implement the governance structure across Operations, technology and Product to ensure a robust data framework to embed quality processes and protocols
  • Review & analyse all new data sources to ensure identification of optimal sourcing arrangements from underlying systems and any required calculations
  • Ensure that data lineage and all meta data components are analysed and documented, and that there is consistency across the data sets
  • Ensure that metrics are implemented for measuring quality of data and rectifying and resolving issues at source
  • Ensure that responsibilities are documented and well understood for governance structure across Operations, Technology and Product, and that a plan is documented and managed against
  • Ensure robust communication channels with key stakeholders and that delivery expectations are effectively managed and understood
  • Provide clear communication to program on risks, issues and associated impediments to development and delivery milestones
  • Manage and govern across virtual data teams across Operations and Technology and Product
Skills & experience:
  • Strong understanding of data, lineage, and data protocols and systemic and procedural resolution approaches
  • Proven track record in successful data programs whereby new data infrastructures have been implemented
  • Experience of successful business process reengineering
  • Background in financial services focusing on asset servicing including custody and Fund services
  • Able to facilitate a 'one team' approach to development/delivery across business and technology
  • Strong management of  expectations and communicate to senior stakeholders
Education Qualifications Graduate Level (in Finance, Commerce or Equivalent Discipline) or equivalent Professional Qualification
