Senior Client Services Advisor

What you'll work on:
  • Provide comprehensive support and service to customers in order to ensure retention, increase sales opportunities and grow the client spend of IHS Markit's products and services
  • Work with and liaise with other members of a designated account, to drive growth and retention activity, and to develop positive client relationships. Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders and key internal stakeholders and work teams to ensure the successful delivery of services to your clients
  • Follow proactive strategies to support clients in the following areas: training sessions, leading on-site meetings and account reviews, offering continuing product education, presenting best practices for Investor Relations workflow, and delivering extraordinary customer service via email and phone communication as well as face to face meetings
  • Engage with clients on a daily basis in order to exceed the expectations set for monthly/ quarterly key performance indicators regarding calls, emails, meetings, and sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and serve as a resource to other members of the Account Management team
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts by developing key account plans and implementing a targeted strategy
  • Master the portfolio of products offered and supported by Corporate Account Management
  • Understand the Investor Relations industry and the job functions of your clients in order to become an invaluable resource to your clients and to facilitate the appropriate response to client needs
  • Troubleshoot client issues and work with internal and external groups to solve client problems, and communicate effectively through resolution
  • Document written and verbal communication in our internal CRM system
  • Provide constructive and actionable client feedback to Product Management or other departments with regard to product requirements and enhancement requests and ideas
  • Continuously work to promote IHS Markit's products and identify sales opportunities
  • Prepare customized spreadsheets with detailed quality assurance, and perform data entry tasks ensuring all details meet the specified requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in client account management or relevant industry experience, i.e. Finance/Sales
  • Financial industry knowledge & interest
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding customer service orientation
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and a motivated self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical & independent problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work well both independently and within a team
  • The ability to work well within a fast-paced environment, handle high-pressure situations, and manage deadlines appropriately
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the motivation to learn new applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
