Description of the Business Line or Department
Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) is present in 29 locations worldwide with around 4,000 employees. SGSS provides financial institutions and brokers, asset managers and insurers, and businesses with a full range of securities services adapted to the latest financial market and regulatory trends: clearing services, custody & trustee services, retail custody services, liquidity management, fund administration & asset servicing, fund distribution and global issuer services.
SGSS/SBO is the department in charge of operating services for settlement, custody, corporate actions and tax and other operational services. It supports a wide set of business activities in the UK including Wealth Management, Broker Dealers and Fund Solution.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
  • Support of the SGSS UK Head of SBO (Securities Banking Operations) in all its activities including management reporting, administrative, financial, team updates, etc
  • In charge of coordinating and submitting various reports on a regular basis: weekly updates, monthly dashboard, monthly staff follow-up, etc
  • Help in conveying the necessary information between the senior management and team members, reporting to senior management, others businesses, Societe Generale London Branch ("SGLB") and Paris Headquarter ("HQ"), and he / she helps in answering ad hoc requests for information, etc
  • Manage delivery of initiatives / minor projects required for the Operations from initiation to production
Key Responsibilities
  • The individual helps to coordinate and to submit management and staff reports on the request of SGLB and Paris HQ,
  • He /she is in charge of supporting the production of weekly updates, monthly dashboard, monthly staff follow-up, month end financials, key performance indicators, etc
  • He/she helps in conveying the necessary information between the business management, staff and others businesses, SGLB and Paris HQ,
  • He / she helps in answering ad hoc requests for information
  • He /she is in charge of the secretarial tasks of various committees (organisation, minutes taking, diffusion of the decisions, etc)
  • He /she is in charge of coordinating and delivering small projects / initiatives across the Operations remit
  • Any ad hoc activities related to the SBO perimeter as agreed, etc
