About the role

  • Analyse and complete the policy attestation process for the department, liaising with the business policy coordinators and policy specialist.
  • Maintain and regularly review the BDA (Business Development Applications), ensuring submissions are within timeframes and communicated to the GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) Management Committee.
  • Coordinate the “Peer Risk Working Group”, ensuring regularly monthly meetings take place, increase engagement and report to the GRC Management Committee. 
  • Identify and report on key risks and risk events monthly. 
  • To coordinate the monthly GRC pack in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain the risk management system “Wynyard” ensuring this is reviewed and current. 
  • Escalate identified high risks as per the process.
  • Monitor and report on departmental compliance 
  • Assist with the implementation of the Risk Appetite reporting, liaising with 2nd line risk.
  • Preparation of departmental business cases, to be able to confidently prepare a business case on various subjects for our team.
  • Management of Drives, making sure we are compliant with GDPR and historic data is archived in accordance with the policy.
  • Carry out Risk assessments as and when required.
  • Working with business risk owners on establishing the key risks in their business areas, whilst facilitating risk workshops to identify risk exposures
  • Analysing risk data from the organisation's risk software to track trends and assist with quarterly risk reporting to the GRC Management Committee.
  • Look to improve processes and to male current process smoother. 

About you

  • Risk Management experience is essential
  • Board paper writing experience is desirable.
  • Strong and clear communication is essential.
  • Confident is using all Microsoft office applications, especially power point and Microsoft word.
  • A proven track record of customer delivery.
  • Proven ability to build new relationships based on trust.
  • Able to work as a team and a team player.
  • Able to engage with Senior management and stakeholders
  • Has the ability to multi task and prioritise in a fast pace environment.
  • Able to build and maintain external and internal working relationships.
  • Able to balance different stakeholder requirements.
  • Eager to develop there skillset and take on challenges.
  • Prioritise, work efficiently and productively and manage your time.
  • Confident is using all Microsoft office applications. 
  • Strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills normally associated with the level obtained by successfully completing a higher education qualification
