We are seeking an experienced operation executive to design and execute our loan strategy and operations. Candidates must have direct management experience in the day to day operations of all aspects of loan servicing operations including booking, client care, loan servicing, payments and back office functions. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader and a strategic and analytical thinker with significant entrepreneurial drive, capable of ensuring all functions are effectively managed and compliant. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and improvement in client experience while mitigating losses and improving internal operational processes is essential.

Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Manage the loan organization across 3 locations. Perform ongoing review of organizational structure and make recommendations regarding necessary changes/adjustments.

  • Manage departmental client and business partner escalations, identifying appropriate resolutions to ensure a positive client experience.

  • Manage the training and development of staff in accordance with our guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all training programs, certifications and development courses are completed as scheduled and deliver annual performance evaluations and ongoing coaching for staff.

  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements and assist the team with various monthly reporting responsibilities, as directed.

  • Prepare audit responses, special project reports and project implementation reports.

  • Reconcile all monthly loan reporting processes

  • Perform monthly certifications

  • Manage vendor and BPO relationships

  • Partnership with product management to determine impacts of new offerings and system enhancements

  • Monitor system capabilities to maximize efficiency. Set-up and review new system functions as new products are on-boarded.

  • Monitor reports to identify delinquent loans, providing information to senior management

  • Establish control/performance reporting to assist with the management of major activities and departmental projects.

  • Develop and implement initiatives targeted to improve business unit performance and productivity including continuously improving and automating processes for efficiency.

  • Assist the team with departmental projects, as necessary


Qualifications

  • 10+ years progressive experience in loan booking, servicing and/or collections

  • 10+ years' experience managing and operating distributed back office staff and environments

  • 5+ years' experience as an operation executive

  • Experience with and deep knowledge of key regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Fundamental skills and experience with common accounting practices and related business mathematics

  • Experience managing portfolio vintages and achieving requirements for income, losses and delinquencies of a portfolio

  • Experience with modern systems and technologies promoting positive employee and client experiences

  • Experience managing vendor and BPO relationships

  • Ability to recruit, develop and motivate key talent to achieve Bank objectives

  • Experience developing end to end process, controls and key performance indicators

  • Demonstrated ability to set strategy, targets and achieve desired results

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent presentation, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Effective leadership skills to develop and motivate a high performing team

  • Must work with integrity in all interactions and strive for excellence in all aspects of the job

  • Willingness to travel periodically

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

    This leadership role manages an organization comprised of ~100 employees in 3 US locations and partnering across global functions for the Bank. This role also serves as the Process Champion for Closing, Booking and Funding within the operations framework.

    Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Commercial Loan accounting systems, booking processes, and our risk appetite

  • Ability to influence and lead partners to prioritize and optimize business needs in highly matrixed organizational structure
  • SOX and regulatory experience

  • 5 years or more recent experience leading and/or influencing a diverse group of associates that deliver a best in class client experience

  • Ability to quickly identify themes, root causes, and solutions for operational processes

  • Deep understanding of operational risks and processes around financial and collateral booking in a commercial lending environment
