Brookfield Property Group - Multifamily, is responsible for acquiring and managing all US multifamily assets. The existing portfolio consists of over 34,000 units across over more than 120 properties located in both urban and suburban markets.

The Associate/Senior Associate, will focus on management of Brookfield's existing portfolio and will work closely with Brookfield's multifamily affiliates and operating partners. Specific responsibilities include performing complex financial analysis and valuations, conducting market research, quarterly reporting, writing investment committee memorandums and presenting investment recommendations.

  • Assist in relationship management with property managers, JV partners, and investors
  • Propose goals and business objectives for each property/portfolio
  • Assist in the oversight and preparation of property operating budgets
  • Assist preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the portfolio
  • Monthly review of operating statements
  • Assist in the due diligence and underwriting of potential acquisitions
  • Financial analysis, market studies and industry standard reporting (i.e. variance reporting, discounted cash flows, IRR's, etc.)

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • Diplomacy, tact, and a helpful, positive, professional presentation and attitude
  • Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in business, finance, accounting and/or real estate. MBA considered a plus
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in asset management.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Argus, Yardi, and LRO
  • Ability to work with financial concepts and perform financial analysis including ROI, IRR and discounted cash flow modeling.
