This individual will be the primary fixed income business owner overseeing client relationships and responsible for selling fixed income ETF products and solutions to Institutional Clients on the West Coast. This role reports to the Head of US iShares Asset Manager Sales.

The iShares team is responsible for maintaining deep relationships with their Institutional clients (Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, Pensions, Foundations and Endowments) and delivering to these Clients the best of iShares and BlackRock. The iShares team coordinates closely with other BlackRock investment and distribution teams to deliver holistic solutions to meet each Institutional Client’s unique needs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive iShares Net New Business and Net New Base Fees through the sale of fixed income iShares ETFs to established and prospective institutional investor clients.

What

  • Execute a use case based sales approach to grow, broaden, and deepen relationships at institutional asset managers, insurance firms, pensions, foundations, and endowments
    • Create first time FI ETF adoption
    • Broaden FI ETF institutional client usage across the product suite
    • Cultivate partnerships for building, seeding, and scaling funds

How

  • Develop relationships with senior investors, decision makers, and traders
  • Partner with iShares fixed income strategy team as well as other BlackRock sales, product, and capital markets teams to coordinate client coverage, especially for large clients with multiple BlackRock relationships.
  • Present both quantitative and qualitative benefits of fixed income ETFs and effectively communicate iShares unique value proposition via telephone, office visits, sales seminars, road shows, and conferences.
  • Execute expert account planning, to align product use cases and resources against the largest commercial opportunities

Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong fixed income investment and capital markets knowledge with 7+ years of fixed income sales experience
  • BA/BS degree required; MBA, CIMA, CFA certification preferred.
  • NASD series 7 and 63 securities licenses required.
  • Proven track record of developing and commercializing client relationships.
  • Deep familiarity with Institutional Investors – landscape, investment process, buying behavior, decision makers, competitors, and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to navigate, collaborate with, and mobilize resources within large, complex financial services organizations.
  • Experience selling other investment products such as ETFs, mutual funds and alternatives a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong sales presentation skills with an ability to represent BlackRock in a professional manner.
  • High energy, motivated individual with a commitment to excellence and strong leadership presence.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Clean U-4.
