Sr. Director Portfolio Delivery
Sr. Director of Portfolio Management & Business Requirements COE

The Enterprise Program Delivery team is responsible for successful delivery of projects at the bank. This role is responsible to lead commercial banking portfolio Delivery.

The Portfolio delivery team has the responsibility for planning, forecasting, governing, and reporting on a portfolio of 50+ projects and programs across the SVB enterprise with an annual spend of more than $80M. These projects span all functional areas of commercial bank portfolio including US & UK commercial bank & Private bank. As SVB continues to grow as a digital leader and mature as a company, the level of excellence must be exceedingly high in managing the project portfolio effectively along with bringing in industry best practices and agile transformation.
Prog rams & Project Management

  • Lead a team of senior level program managers to successfully deliver cross-functional strategic programs that achieve the business case commitments.
  • Manage and coach direct reports to drive optimal performance as leaders of strategic programs who work with a variety of stakeholders including project managers, business owners, SME's, IT, and other corporate functions.
  • Drive demand/capacity management for project/program work across the bank.
  • Lead portfolio governance committee to manage project approvals, prioritization, change requests, and risk management
  • Build relationships with key leaders across the bank to drive a partnership between the PMO and those leaders in delivering strategic roadmaps.
  • Cross-initiative alignment
  • Maintain rolling budget forecast for in-flight and pipeline projects - capital & non-capital spend.
  • Track and report metrics relative to baselines and current forecasts
  • Engaging with the project teams and PMO on root causes of issues affecting portfolio performance.
  • Lead the organization through digital transformation and toward agile delivery methodology
  • Hire and retain talent
  • This role would be responsible for overseeing the agile COE practice, including shaping and creating a future growth plan for the practice in alignment with SVB's senior leadership's vision for the department and determining the long-term strategy for the practice, its tools and processes.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic planning,and executive reporting
  • 10+ years of leadership of teams driving complex, cross-functional programs
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in change management and communication to all levels of the organization
