Software Engineer Lead
JobDescription :
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supporting business process management applications on Pega PRPC 7.X platform
  • Ability to support and create infrastructure related tasks as follows:
    • Deployments
    • Server Restarts
    • Enhanced server configuration
  • Hands on knowledge of PEGA integration services using REST, SOAP, Email etc.
  • Solid understanding of PEGA case management features
  • Ability to resolve production workflow issues by checking Pega code base
  • Troubleshooting using AES alerts tool
  • Serve as a go-to person within team to troubleshoot issues
  • Provide KT to various team members as required
  • Design and execute Oracle database SQL (or ANSI SQL) Scripts for backend data fixes
  • Maintain all relevant documentation
  • Interact with business analysts and business team members in solving application issues
  • Perform root cause analysis across multiple teams in order to resolve larger scale problems
  • Work very closely with architecture groups to drive solutions
  • Experience with troubleshooting Production log files and performance issues
  • Ability to negotiate and work with resources appropriately for support and deployments activities
  • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
  • Mentor and guide Pega engineers within the team
  • Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
  • Willingness to help with stretch hours
  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.

Required Experience/Skills
  • Pega Systems Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or higher.
  • In-depth technical understanding of Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC 7.X) and Pega product knowledge
  • 8+ Years of Experience on Pega PRPC including 7.x versions
  • Good understanding of Pega tools like Clipboard, Tracer, PAL, DB Trace, PLA, SMA and AES
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams of senior developers, architects, business analysts and data operations
  • In-Depth knowledge of Pega upgrades, skimming, integration, performance management and all Pega relevant tools
  • Solid understanding of PRPC application architecture including enterprise class structure, rule set hierarchy, organization structure, inheritance, decision rules, properties, process flows, etc.
  • Experience in PRPC integration services - rule connects and rule services, activity creation, using/implementing R-U functions
  • Validate rule types such as Rule-Obj-Validate, Rule-Edit-Validate and Reporting Rule types such as List View Summary View and Report Definition, Good Debugging Skills on Tracker, SMA and performance tools
  • Solid understanding of declarative processing features - Expressions, Constraints, On Change, Decision Rules like Decision Table, Decision Map, etc.
  • Good knowledge of Unix, HTML, Oracle, SQL and Toad is highly desirable
  • Experience with Java, J2EE basics, app server integration and configuration

Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Server admin knowledge with Weblogic Application server
  • Knowledge and experience of working with ticketing system like Service Now
  • Knowledge and/or certification of AWS preferred
  • Hands on experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible is desirable
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Agile (Scrum & Kanban), CI / CD highly desirable
