The Role: Global Ratings Data Office is seeking a Sr. Data Researcher to join the Default Data Content team

The Location: Centennial

The Team:
You will join a team of data professionals that is responsible for the data management operations for various default and recovery data assets across S&P Global Ratings. The data sets support research studies, regulatory filings, criteria research and Market Intelligence products across all sectors. The team partners with the Ratings Technology team to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are achieved while maintaining accuracy and completeness. The group is part of the Ratings Content team which is responsible for all data maintenance activities as it relates to the ratings enterprise database, analytic workflow tools and downstream Market Intelligence products.

The Impact
This role will be responsible for Corporate default data management and the delivery of Corporate default data content and project deliverables. Data management will be based on internal processes, guidelines and best practices in a deadline driven environment. The role is suited for a candidate who wants to build a career in the financial services industry.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably Business, Economics or Business Analytics
  • Experience working with fixed income data (coursework is acceptable)
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Understanding of basic SQL a plus
  • Interested in learning programs used in Data Analysis and/or Business Intelligence; Python, R, Qlikview and MicroStrategy
