10 week summer internship program designed to challenge students interested in gaining hands-on experience with Nuveens businesses. 


Interns will have experiences in one of the following areas:

Sales Enablement: The Sales Enablement group works across our Distribution, Marketing, and Product teams to build frameworks, tools, processes, and metrics to solve key problems to help drive our business forward.  The group focuses on leveraging CRM, data engineering, and business intelligence tools to improve our strategic and tactical approach to distribution effectiveness.

Nuveen Advisory Services Client Services (NAS CS) Division: NAS CS supports the Distribution and Relationship Management teams in servicing Institutional and High Net Worth clients invested in Nuveens products.  The NAS CS team is critical to the success of the business in several ways including onboarding new client accounts, delivering ongoing communications and reports to clients, working with Nuveen business partners to service clients throughout the client lifecycle, and supporting relationship management to deliver a distinctive client experience.


The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors degree preferably in business, finance, marketing or related areas and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, work well in teams, committed to ongoing learning, display intellectual curiosity, and have the drive to obtain on the job expertise.  They should have demonstrated interest within the investment management industry. They also must be able to adapt to change and a variety of ad hoc requests; as well as have the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on objectives within a given timeframe.

Required Skills (Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities to enter the job)

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors degree.
  • Graduating between December 2020 and August 2021
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better

Desired Skills: (Preferred not required)

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving/analytical skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on commitments
  • Previous internship or work experience a plus
  • Demonstrated interest within the investment management industry is preferred
  • Independent and original thinker
  • Self-discipline and self-motivation
  • Strong level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit

For the Sales Enablement Internship specifically:

  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of database query language (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
