A newly created projectoffice withinMellon Investment Management is being built out with the responsibility formanaging the development and implementation of Mellon's strategic imperativesand business initiatives. This encompasses the development of business cases,execution of key initiatives and general advisory and support to Mellon's seniorexecutives.

Responsibilities:


  • Leads projects and implements various businessdevelopment activities aimed to increase the growth and profitability of Mellon

  • Works independently, and directly withmanagement and with executives in other areas of BNY Mellon

  • Works with individual businessand functional leaders to help shape their priorities and connect intoBank-wide strategic narrative and priorities

  • Connects Mellon's core agendato cross-business priorities and (when needed) serves as a convener

  • Identifies opportunities andhelps develop strategic external partners (e.g., with large clients, technologycompanies, other industry stakeholders)

  • Helps source and incubatecross-business/new business ventures (digital, data)

  • Counsels senior businessleaders with the objective of being a trusted advisor

  • Manages complexity and leadingmultiple projects with an unrelenting focus and prioritization


Skills &Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience in business management or related field is required

  • MBA strongly preferred

  • Financial services experience, preferably in theasset management and/or mutual funds space

  • Proven success in Project Management, particularlywith large, complex projects

  • Prior experience in mergers & acquisitions,lift-outs, divestitures

  • Strategic planning and/or business consulting experiencepreferred

  • Sophisticated analytical, financial modelingskills, including valuation analysis and project management skills

  • Thorough and comprehensive research abilities

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple large,complex projects, priorities and deadlines concurrently, often under tight timeconstraints

  • Excellent oral, written and presentationcommunication skills, including ability to present recommendations andhighlight key points in a succinct manner to executive management based onsound quantitative and qualitative analysis


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 5-7 years of total work experience preferred. Technical experience preferred.
