Charles River Development is looking for a well-rounded Web Development Engineer to design and build web based trading workflow components that are user-centric, performant and extensible. You will be joining a team of highly competent and experienced software engineers to create advanced trading system components using main stream web technology with Agile development process, building industry leading OEMS solutions to top asset management firms globally.


  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts and UX designers to turn business requirements into working and maintainable software solutions
  • Create, debug, test and maintain web based trading workflow using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other appropriate web development tools
  • Write testable, reusable, robust and scalable code to ensure financial system's high quality standard
  • Contribute to functional, performance and load testing and test automation of the solution
  • Participate and contribute to team agile process to help improve the engineering practice
  • Assist in written design and technical documentation for the system


  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • 7+ years of commercial software development utilizing C#
  • 7+ years of hands-on web development experience in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular.js, React.js, etc.
  • Solid understanding of object oriented design, data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of web services and messaging
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently collaborate across functional groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodology strongly preferred
  • Financial domain knowledge is a plus
