AVP – Enterprise Data Architecture – Data Governance
Job Description The Role / Responsibilities
The AVP - Enterprise Data Governance will assist in the development and implementation of a multi-year Enterprise Data strategy. He/She will partner with LoB Data teams to assess current and future state data needs, opportunities and integration activities and create a plan for how we can best exploit this data to gain operational efficiencies, optimize product offerings and deliver a compelling client value proposition. This leader will be able to move past governance and policy (though critical to the role) to ensure that the firms data/insights (both that produced by the firm as well as consumed by the firm) are leveraged to their full potential. Key deliverables in partnership with the other Enterprise Data activities for this role are:
  • Lead Data Management and Architecture strategy implementation efforts partnering closely with key business, technology and architecture stakeholders
  • Manage and monitor determine roadmap and priorities to execute work
  • Identify data analytic opportunities for the business and ensure data/information compliance with business policy, legal and compliance
  • Enable stellar business performance by utilizing existing data assets and working with business partners to tap new and innovative sources of data
  • Provide data analytics/science to support uses cases such as client segmentation and leverages the power of predictive insights and analytics
  • Work closely with the technology organizations to create and environment and architecture that makes data accessible to appropriate channels of access controls
  • Identify data analytic opportunities for the business and ensure data/information compliance with business policy, legal and compliance
  • Partner with architecture and execute of integration of data across multiple sources and
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of projects necessary to achieve the strategy with an eye towards business process redesign.
Provide thought leadership in proper implementation of processes and tools that best align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS or Business
  • 3-5 years of delivering complex enterprise data solutions (governance, management, quality, analytics, etc.)
  • Experience creating a sourcing strategy based on day 1 as well as future state talent & capacity needs
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering a data strategy and enabling change through close IT and Business leadership partnerships
  • Strong track record of creative and critical thinking, business case development/delivery in a regulated environment
  • Excellent communication skills with respect to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates high EQ and self-awareness. Inspires teams to engage, innovate and deliver
  • Passion for end to end solutions and delighting the end user through effective listening and expectation management
