Agile Software Developer 2 - Charlotte, NC

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Agile Software Developerwith application and programming knowledge to contribute toward the success ofour technology initiatives.  Thisposition will support the replacement of our ForeignExchange (FX) trading platform and related accounting system interfaces andreporting with a more robust, straight-through-processing informationtechnology platform to meet customer service and quality expectations. Thisdeveloper will be involved in the transformation of our internalmonolithic FX applications to a microservice architecture, exposing sharedservices through APIs, and DevOps enablement.

The candidate will execute end-to-end development andtesting of software products in an agile lifecycle. Partnering with keytechnical and business stakeholders, the agile developer will help refine theproduct vision, estimate and design solutions, create, purchase, or customizethe requisite hardware and software to create the solution, ensure the qualityof the final product through manual and automated tests, and support the newsoftware as it is moved to production.

BasicQualifications

  • One or more years of work experiencein Application Development/IT Systems Testing

RequiredSkills

  • Basic Coding Skills (Java),including Version Control Systems and IDEs

  • Functional Testing experience,including ability to create, maintain and execute automated tests

PreferredSkills/Experience

  • Application development and systemstesting knowledge

  • Knowledge of system testing tools

  • IT/software quality assurance skills

  • Experience in: Unit Testing(including automation and integration with CI systems) and Agile SoftwareDevelopment (typically Scrum)

  • Open, honest, collaborative andclear intra-team communication skills

  • Ability to work in ambiguity andintegrate to a solution can estimate and solve basic business problemswithout explicit direction

  • Creative, flexible, and willing tocontinuously change

  • Ability to identify defects

  • Basic skills in servicevirtualization, test case modeling, and test data management tools andprocesses

  • DevOps capabilities containers,cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD

  • Ability to follow policyrequirements related to documentation and other processes

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong time management skills

AdditionalNice to Have Skills/Experience

  • Knowledgein the Selenium testing framework

  • Knowledgewith Swagger and Apigee API Platform. 

  • Knowledgein UI development using AngularJS and Node.js 

  • Knowledgein the various monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics, Splunk, and ELK. 

  • Knowledgein the AS/400, DB2, and/or Equation. 

  • Knowledgein FX/Capital Markets is a plus
