nCinos Accounting department focuses on providing accurate financial information and business partnering for the day to day accounting and finance activities across all departments. Key activities include overseeing all corporate accounting functions, accounts payable and the close process for all domestic and international locations.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the establishment and maintenance of corporate accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports
  • Manage team of Corporate Accountants and provide support with day to day operations
  • Overall responsibility for all daily operations of nCino, including AP transactions, journal entries, establishing accruals, payroll, equity, managing banking relationships and performing analytical analysis over all account balances and statements
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with all reporting regulations, including SOX
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and the related reporting requirements for footnote disclosures and other reporting needs
  • Owning, managing and optimizing the software used in the close process
  • Manage requests and questions related the corporate insurance program
  • Assist with external audits and reviews for the company
  • Assist with special projects
  • Implement new accounting standards and policies
  • Oversee international accounting operations
  • Assist in the establishment of new entities created by the Company

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in accounting in a public company or combination with 3 years of management experience in accounting or combination experience, education, and superior performance
  • Comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAP, including recently issued accounting pronouncements, and SEC reporting principles and regulations
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal control frameworks
  • Licensed CPA
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and oral skills
  • Incredible organizational skill with proven ability to prioritize workload
  • Professional and confidential disposition, while exercising considerable judgement and discretion
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
