Duties: Design and build strategic transactional surveillance and analytics platform. Utilize complex data, transaction patterns, suspicious trading activity, data analytics and visualization to build surveillance capabilities for regulatory end users. Work with transactional detection patterns and reporting analytics, which use front-office trading orders, executions and post-trade lifecycles of trades, positions, market data, instrument and client reference data for traded market products. System Migrations - migrate legacy vendor trade surveillance system with Oracle stored procedures to a strategic in-house platform. Perform architecture migration including Oracle database refresh and Cloud integration. Adhere to established software engineering and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices to ensure code quality, platform performance, stability and scalability. Partner with various business and technology teams in Compliance, Technology, Surveillance Technology, and Corporate Compliance Technology (CCT) Operate Support for end-to-end build and release. Provide end-to-end design, build and delivery as part of Global Surveillance Technology organization in the U.S., EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), and APAC (Asia-Pacific). Provide Level 3 production support and work collaboratively in Agile Feature team. Create a community of practice that focuses on design, new technology, clean code, test-driven development, code review, and problem solving. Define best practices for architecture of existing applications and develop featured solutions for full stack, including User Interface (UI), Java-based back-end, and database and messaging.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in application development and database programming, or related experience OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in application development and database programming, or related experience.

Minimum skills required: Experience developing distributed mission-critical trading or transaction analytics systems based on core Java and Java EE. Experience in design and build of enterprise-scale and high-volume Oracle data processing applications using packages, procedures, triggers, PL/SQL, and Java Stored Procedures. Experience with performance optimization on J2EE frameworks and performance tuning of databases. Web application experience using Java and JavaScript frameworks. Experience with Agile development methodology and test driven development. Experience with automated tools, including Maven, Jules, Jenkins, and Gradle. Experience with version control tools, including SVN, Git, CVS, and Perforce. Demonstrated knowledge of financial products, trading lifecycles, and order workflow.
