Job Description

TD is looking for a Data Scientist to join the Data Analytics & Innovation team within Compliance. The successful candidate will have experience in SQL Server Development and will work collaboratively with a team of scientists, analysts, compliance specialists, and the business lines to implement advanced methods to maintain and enhance the Bank's risk mitigation program. The Data Analytics Team develops statistical approaches and builds machine learning classification models to identify fair lending, UDAAP, and other risks to consumers. The Team also designs algorithms to provide business partners with automated testing and reporting solutions. Finally, the team ingests, analyzes, and visualizes data from across systems to generate dashboards, KRIs, and other insights for business partners and executive leaders.
The role requires experience with data management, AI/ML including natural language processing, and a variety of programs such as Tableau, R, Python, SQL.

Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, etc.
•5+ years of related work experience in data management / analysis / reporting / creating dashboards
•NLP and Text mining experience
•SQL Database management experience
•Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
•Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to clearly provide written reports that identify and quantify risk as well as present sound solutions taking into account bank operations and culture
•Ability to create compelling data visualizations
•Ability to communicate effectively with senior level management
•Proven experience in project coordination and ability to work independently
•Demonstrated project management skills with ability to develop, facilitate and bring to successful conclusion
