Job Description
As the Sr. Associate, you will handle the daily verification and reconciliation associated with cash dividend events. In accordance with client Service level Agreements (SLA's), business rules/policies, as well as SEC and STA regulations, you'll provide support for dividend events from the dividend declaration to the payment allocations to shareholders. You'll also handle events that require "special processing" which include stock dividends and forward stock splits. You are the first level of escalation for all dividend related inquiries and requests, and also provide processing support as needed by the business.

  • Processing of stock dividends and forward stock splits - including the allocation of shares and CIL payments
  • Reviewing the dividend announcements received - ensuring that these dividends are added to the system to be tracked - reviewing the dividends in progress and communicating with external business partners
  • Verification and reconciliation of all dividend events - ensuring accuracy pre and post dividend processing
  • Verification of the dividend payments which include assigning and formatting payments
  • Verification of the dividend funding letters prior to submission to the client
  • Verification of outgoing FED wires as necessary
  • Handling the processing of dividends that require "special processing" - which includes complex dividend events that require direct oversight
  • First level of escalation for all dividend related inquiries - providing/ensuring resolutions
  • Reconciliation ACH Payments, wire payments, and checks
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients - initial testing to validate onboarded data is accurate and will result in successful dividend events
  • Direct support for the Team Lead when required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in either financial services/securities industry or a related field
