INTERNSHIP - Central Compliance - Banking Operations New York - United States
Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to: Basic clerical and administrative tasks such as organizing files, answering telephone inquiries and the like. Mastering rudimentary Employee Trading and Outside Business Interest operations. Performing reporting to management and regulatory bodies. Assisting with fundamental reporting functions on firm and agent registration for Broker Dealer and Futures Commission Merchant entities. Profile Required COMPETENCIES
Required: Polished professional manner and attitude. Entry-level understanding of the banking, securities and/or commodities business lines. Ability to immerse oneself in and absorb new, complex and dense written materials. Close adherence to deadlines, often determined by regulators. TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required: Basic computer literacy and skills (Word, Excel, etc). Strong writing ability. PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: General professional office background. Proven expertise in communicating with technology professionals. Some financial industry internship or paid position.
Desired: Some Compliance or Human Resources exposure. Keen interest in pursuing a career in Compliance, Human Resources or general financial services operations. EDUCATION
Required: BA/BS earned or anticipated. Some finance or technology coursework.
Desired: Any financial industry designations (Series 7, etc.) LANGUAGE
Desired: French helpful Business Insight
