Job Description and Responsibility:
Blackstone professionals will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of projects and be staffed on a number of assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, team members have the opportunity to assume integral roles on the team.
Analysts will work on a wide range of projects and assignments. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Portfolio Management - General
    • Provide support on maintaining & distributing BREIT operating model
    • Work with BREIT team on portfolio analytics (e.g. leverage, distributions, etc.)
    • Work with BREIT team on investment analysis (e.g. underwriting, allocations, etc.)

  • Portfolio Management - Securities
    • Work with BREIT senior management on oversight of BREIT securities portfolio
    • Work with Blackstone real estate liquids team on pipeline, closings & financing strategies
    • Responsible for providing position summaries and maintaining securities model
    • Responsible for securities portfolio analytics (e.g. investment allocations, leverage, hedging, etc.)
    • Responsible for overseeing securities liquidity & daily cash management

  • Board & Related Materials
    • Oversee creation of materials for board meetings, investor meetings, strategy sessions, asset reviews
    • Input on IRBD materials & regulatory filings; participation in marketing sessions as needed

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team oriented and collaborative
  • Self-starter, highly organized, and detail oriented
  • Strong analytical aptitude
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint
  • 2 years minimum experience
  • Prior Real Estate Investment or Investment Banking experience needed
