The position: Senior UserResearcher

The senior researcher brings ahighly skilled, human-centric component to the UX team, leading a range ofactivities such as discovering user needs, developinginnovative service ideas, collaborating across teams and stakeholdergroups, and testing design concepts before bringing them to market.

Your days will be spent leadingresearch projects, learning about user behavior, and working side by sidewith designers, technologists, and product managers, to create a sharedvision for the future of Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) services.

Your main focus willbe providing product and UX teams with the tools and self-awarenessthey need to continuously grow in knowledge about our clients andemployees, generating actionable data. The Continuous Insights serviceyou define for JP Morgan, and the engagement model with regions and teams inthe business will help facilitate a culture in which empathy and outcomesbecome a core capability for growth. You will partner with teams who seekto understand through empirical observation, experience and making.

Your contribution at JPM

Design User Research proposals withclear hypothesis, scope, audience and methodology
Lead and conduct contextual userinterviews, synthesizing insights, delivering Insight Reports through contextsmost likely to inform decision making
Propose and implement aquantitative research methodology which harnesses existing data relating touser behavior, reports this in a manner able to drive prioritization of workand created a continuous feedback loop that seeks to refine the quality of datasourced.
Lead the introduction of a newusability evaluation service for SCRUM teams and Product Managers toiteratively test solutions, in a timely manner, using methods ranging fromGuerrilla testing to more formal Lab based-studies
Work in partnershipwith Technologists, Designers, and Product Managers to evaluateexperience design concepts from early sketches to fully functional prototypes
Conduct desk research to identifytrends in user behavior within the finance sector and across a range of othersectors and find creative approaches to feed insights back into the Post Tradeorganization
Manage User Research requests fromacross the organization, proactively proposing mechanisms by which demands canbe met
Contribute to a set of sharedartifacts such as Persona's, Journey Maps, Metrics, and Research processes,which serve the wider team.

Bachelor's degree in Human Factors/ Ergonomics, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive / Experimental Psychology,or similarly relevant field (Master's/ Doctorate preferred)

Experience running UI/UX or userstudies measuring both qualitative and quantitative data

Ability to quickly build strongrelationships and manage strong ongoing communications with individuals who arewilling to participate in an ongoing research program.

Experience of proposing andapplying experience metrics in enterprise organizations, and establishingmethods by which to gather and report back on insights against agreed metrics.

Energetic and responsivepersonality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong awareness of both ServiceDesign and User Experience Design and able to plan research studies that cangather insights appropriate to each.

Ability to work both independentlyand collaboratively in a dynamic, hands-on and creative environment

Working knowledge of organizationalculture and design

Proficiency in statistical analysis

Enthusiasm in utilizing a diverseset of approaches to creative problem solving
