The Alternate Investment Services - Client Technologygroup is a collaborative development teamwith the goal of delivering a uniform, responsive user experience to clients. We are actively working on designing andimplementing a digital strategy to allow our clients to access data &documents via multiple delivery channels. We embrace Agile methodology and OpenSource technologies.

We are looking for atalented Software Engineer who has a passion for their craft andseeking to get the job done right for the best outcome for our clients. Youwill be highly motivated and have a passion for technology and creative problemsolving.

Primary JobResponsibilities to Include:


  • RequirementsAnalysis

  • Applicationdesign and implementation

  • Automated testing

  • Applicationdeployment

  • Second/Thirdlevel support of applications

  • Consultswith internal business groups to provide high-level application softwaredevelopment services or technical support. Provides comprehensive senior-leveltechnical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs. Evaluatescompliance with the organization's technology standards. Works with internalbusiness groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirementsof various applications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations toaddress and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Guides andconsults with IT management and technical staffs regarding use of emergingtechnologies and associated services. Participates in defining corporateimplementation and integration strategies of new technologies. Advocates forinnovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to the achievement ofarea objectives.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degreein computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent workexperience required, 10-12 years of experience in software developmentrequired, experience in the securities or financial services industry is aplus.


  • Hands onexperience of 8-10+ years on Java, J2EE, RESTful Services

  • Expertwith agile development process and project management tools like Jiraor Trello

  • Experiencebuilding apps, micro-services from the ground up and scaling at an enterpriselevel

  • Experiencewith Open Source tools and frameworks such as Spring, Junit, is required

  • Experiencewith build and CI tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins is required

  • Experiencewith messaging systems (Kafka, MQ and JMS) is a plus

  • Experienceusing application containers, caching technologies and cloud based technologieslike Docker containers is a plus. Knowledge of AWS/Azure is also a plus

  • Knowledgeof relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, datamodeling) is required and understanding of NoSQL databases (Postgres, Vertica)is a plus

  • Solidfoundation in data structures, algorithms, software design with stronganalytical and debugging skills

  • Provenability to write automated unit and integration tests for front-end andback-end code
