Sartre Group is recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer on behalf of a leading global investment company based in Austin. The firm is seeking an experienced Engineer to join a newly formed team to provide technical support and administration for all internal end-user software, hardware, and connectivity and network issues. This is an opportunity to work in an industry-leading investment company and would suit a driven and self-directed individual, that wishes to progress within a fast-paced and stimulating environment.

The role:

-Identifying, diagnosing, researching, tracking and resolving technical problems

-Resolving issues quickly for users and escalating to third parties of other IT groups as needed

-Deploying, managing and documenting a wide variety of devices and applications

-Delivering the highest level of customer service, providing excellent communication and    support to internal users

-Engaging in technical collaboration with other infrastructure groups and business IT teams when necessary

 

Requirements:

- Demonstrated ability to recognize and resolve technical issues and adapt to an ever-changing technical environment

- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows and Linux)

- Good understanding of network technologies, Cisco CLI, and TCP/IP protocol

- Experience with supporting remote computing components and solutions including RSA servers and appliances, Cisco VPN, and Citrix

-3 - 8 years’ experience working in a technical support role

-Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject
