Join our team as a Senior Physical Oil Scheduler & Blender and manage all petroleum related vessel, barge, pipeline and storage operations, including blending, inventory control and logistics management. 

In this role, you'll manage the supply chain of all physical Petroleum related movements including logistics of barges, vessels, pipeline, and storages from origin to destination, as well as terminal inventories and logistics management.  Using your knowledge of petroleum oil blending specifically for fuel oil, you'll actively engage with external counterparties including vessel and barge operators / charterers, inspectors, agents and internal stakeholders; as well as our internal commercial team, finance team and Risk Management Group.

This role will require a good understanding of;

  • shipboard, shore tank, ship shore ship, blending operations
  • contractual terms, charter parties, voyage orders, inspections, documentary instructions etc.
  • quality & quantity determination, significance of test results, familiar with repeatability and reproducibility of such test methods
  • how to mitigate the risk by selecting and appointing the appropriate inspectors or loss controller
  • good knowledge of shipping documents, their significant and risk associated with them  
  • credit management - requesting/managing Letters of Credit or prepayments where necessary, knows how to manage and when to mitigating the Credit risk
  • how to optimize logistics costs, such as freight, demurrage, terminal fees, inspection, outturn losses
  • relationship building with terminal personnel, agents, inspectors, loss control, counterparties and team members. 

To be considered for this role you'll need to have;

  • a minimum 5-10 years experience in Petroleum Physical Oil operations, experience in fuel oil and associated blending in preferred
  • deep Petroleum Operations experience in shipping and terminal/blending optimization
  • strong knowledge of commodity contract terms and transportation agreements and shipping documents.
  • strong knowledge of vessel, barge logistics and pipeline network and related shipping terms
  • the ability to take calls anytime of the day   
  • travel as required
  • bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • strong petroleum related network & contacts
  • microsoft office experience, ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets
  • knowledge in Solarc Right Angle system.
