The role is a blend of business-as usual-activities as well as delivery on the overall business strategy and change program in cash equities clearing, settlement and sub-register services. In this role you will work closely with Equities Post Trade team members and a range of internal and industry stakeholders
Support the General Manager, Senior Manager and team members of Equities Post Trade with business-as-usual activities to ensure all obligations are met in a timely manner, including liaison with other areas of ASX, as well as customer and change management activities:

In this role you will work closely with Equities Post Trade team members and a range of internal and industry stakeholders
Support the General Manager, Senior Manager and team members of Equities Post Trade with business-as-usual activities to ensure all obligations are met in a timely manner, including liaison with other areas of ASX, as well as customer and change management activities:
- Input to activities including documentation to support cash equities clearing and settlement regulatory obligations, including CS Services Rules, PFMI assessments;
- Input to drafting of board and committee papers;
- Preparation of written and presentation materials for working groups and external committees;
- Develop and support execution of engagement plans with key customer and user groups, focused on participants and payment providers (including understanding of payment provider role, attendance at ESPPSC);
- Special interest working group, analytical and research work (qualitative and quantitative) - including:
- scanning of industry and peer news for key themes/input to Equities Post Trade forward strategy;
- focus on T+1 settlement activities;
- attendance and input at ISSA and other working group meetings.
- Ad hoc work as needed to support customer requests, incident or other actions as needed;
- Activities to support CHESS Project release 2 requirements, engagement, documentation review.
- Bring a can-do attitude to the role; pitching in to ensure that all team deliverables are achieved on schedule
Your experience and qualifications
Must have
- University degree in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Arts, Law or similar
- 5+ years professional experience in banking/financial services/corporate or government agency setting
- Versatile problem solving, critical thinking and analytical (quantitative and qualitative) skills
- Demonstrated strong communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills with external and internal stakeholders across all seniority levels
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to suit the audience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and manage deadlines, and escalate where necessary
Nice to have
- An understanding of local financial market operations across financial products, capital markets, securities trading and post trade, wealth management, retail, wholesale and institutional markets and emerging trends, including technologies and systems
- An understanding of concepts related to financial market infrastructure including the regulatory landscape in Australia
- Previous experience working on transformative projects
- Knowledge in equities post trade operations
- Proven delivery focus and customer service mindset
