Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support large-scale physical records destruction and digitisation programs.
- Manage information classification, retention, disposal, and retrieval processes across digital and physical records.
- Maintain and enhance business classification schemes and records retention schedules.
- Design and oversee digitisation triage processes, including quality assurance, exception management, and business approvals.
- Identify, assess, and escalate information governance risks and remediation activities.
- Monitor governance controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting on governance performance, risk, and control effectiveness.
- Partner with technology, business, risk, and legal teams to embed governance requirements into projects and operational processes.
- Manage external storage and information management suppliers, including service performance and operational oversight.
- 5-7 years' experience in Information Governance, Records Management, Data Governance, or Information Management.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of records lifecycle management and information governance principles.
- Demonstrated experience implementing governance controls and compliance frameworks.
- Strong operational risk management and issue remediation experience.
- Experience collaborating with technology and delivery teams to embed governance requirements into solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with experience interpreting audit, compliance, and operational findings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and information management tools supporting records governance and retention.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Records Management, Business, Technology, Law, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing third-party information storage or records management providers.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of Australian privacy and regulatory frameworks relevant to information governance.
