Your new roleAs a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join a highly technical team building a new service domain and migrating data and capability away from legacy platforms.This is a heavily backend-focused engineering role, working across C#/.NET, AWS and PostgreSQL, with very little UI development. You'll design and build production-grade services, work on complex data migration and contribute to the modernisation of large-scale enterprise systems.The environment is also embracing AI-assisted software engineering, with engineers encouraged to use modern AI tooling across development, testing, code quality and engineering productivity.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong hands-on C#/.NET backend engineering experience
- Commercial experience working with AWS
- Strong database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQL
- Experience building APIs, services and data-heavy backend systems
- Exposure to data migration, legacy modernisation or complex enterprise platforms
- Strong automated testing and software engineering fundamentals
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools
- Ability to contribute to production code and add value from day one
- Financial services experience is beneficial, but not essential
- 12-month contract
- Work on a major, long-term technology modernisation program
- Modern .NET, AWS and PostgreSQL engineering environment
- Exposure to emerging AI-enabled software engineering practices
