Production Operations Engineer – Trading Systems | Shanghai | Relocation Available
We’re recruiting for a Production Operations Engineer to join a leading global quantitative trading firm in Shanghai.
This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with trading and technology teams to support the systems responsible for running a highly automated trading environment.
You’ll be responsible for the reliability and day-to-day operation of critical production systems while helping improve the tooling, automation and processes surrounding them.
The Role
You’ll work across:
- Supporting critical production trading systems
- Linux troubleshooting across application and infrastructure layers
- Investigating production incidents and system performance issues
- Networking and connectivity troubleshooting
- Python and scripting for automation and tooling
- CI/CD and deployment processes
- PostgreSQL and database troubleshooting
- Monitoring and improving distributed production systems
- Working closely with traders and software engineers
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in engineers with experience across:
- Linux systems and production troubleshooting
- Python or another scripting/programming language
- Networking fundamentals, including L2/L3
- Production support, SRE or operations engineering
- Databases such as PostgreSQL
- CI/CD and deployment processes
- Monitoring and incident response
- Highly available or distributed systems
Prior quantitative trading experience is not essential. We’re particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, technical curiosity and the ability to operate calmly within critical production environments.
