Key Responsibilities
A. Fund and Investment Accounting
- Maintain the accounting records and books of investment funds and related investment entities.
- Review fund NAV calculations, including investment valuations, realised and unrealised gains and losses, expenses, management fees and performance fees.
- Reconcile records provided by fund administrators, brokers, banks, exchanges and custodians.
- Account for and reconcile traditional financial instruments and digital assets.
B. Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Manage the full set of accounts for relevant group entities, including intra-group and external transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, intercompany balances, month-end closing and financial statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports.
- Establish and improve accounting, reconciliation, closing and financial record-keeping procedures.
C. Tax and Audit
- Manage or coordinate tax compliance matters in Mainland China and overseas jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, Singapore and BVI.
- Prepare supporting information for tax filings and identify potential tax risks.
- Work with external auditors, tax advisers, fund administrators and corporate secretaries, and perform a reasonable review of their work.
- Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, investment schedules and audit working papers for annual audits.
D. Finance Operations and Controls
- Perform periodic reconciliations of bank, broker, exchange, custody and digital wallet accounts.
- Ensure that transactions, asset balances and supporting records are complete, accurate and traceable.
- Establish financial controls and asset reconciliation procedures for both traditional securities and digital assets.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, finance, taxation or a related discipline.
- At least eight years of relevant experience in finance, audit, fund accounting, asset management or financial services.
- Practical experience in investment transactions or asset management accounting.
- Strong full-set accounting capabilities, with the ability to independently complete the process from source data to financial statements.
- Familiarity with the trading, valuation, profit and loss accounting and reconciliation of both traditional securities and digital assets.
- Practical knowledge of the key tax regimes in Mainland China and major overseas financial centres.
- Ability to independently prepare tax and audit supporting documents and effectively manage external professional advisers.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with mainstream accounting systems, with the ability to process large volumes of transaction data.
- Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
- CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, CICPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
