Position Overview

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for driving the Bank’s revenue growth, customer acquisition and strategic partnership development. The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, expanding the Bank’s corporate and high-net-worth (HNW) customer base, and establishing commercially profitable relationships that support sustainable business growth.

This is a senior leadership appointment requiring a commercially driven and entrepreneurial professional with a strong track record of delivering measurable business development results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proven track record in revenue generation and customer acquisition, particularly corporate and HNW segments.
2. ⁠Ability to originate, negotiate and close commercially profitable partnerships.
3. ⁠Strong understanding of banking products, pricing, margins and customer economics.
4. ⁠Experience building and managing measurable sales pipelines.
5. ⁠Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and execution-oriented.
6. ⁠Must demonstrate: Actual revenue, deposits or profitable partnerships generated — not simply relationship management or marketing activity.

Requirements

1. Experience in banking or fintech environments, preferably within organisations undergoing establishment, transformation or rapid growth.
2. Strong commercial awareness and financial literacy, with an understanding of business performance and profitability.
3. Ability to build business development functions, establish processes and develop teams from the ground up.
4. Hands-on problem-solving approach, with the ability to execute business strategies and drive results rather than operate solely at a strategic level.
5. Demonstrated track record of measurable achievements and tangible commercial outcomes from previous roles.
6. Ability to balance business growth and revenue generation with profitability, operational efficiency and regulatory discipline.
