Our client, a leading international insurance brokerage firm, is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Real Estate Insurance Broker to join its growing Paris office.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven broker with a strong network within the French real estate sector and a proven ability to generate and place business. The role offers significant autonomy, direct access to senior leadership, and the opportunity to play a key role in building and developing a market-leading Real Estate Practice across France, with longer-term ambitions to expand throughout Europe.

The Role

As a Senior Real Estate Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for developing client relationships across the real estate ecosystem, including property owners, asset managers, investment funds, REITs, developers, lenders, and property management companies.

You will lead the design, negotiation, and placement of complex insurance programmes while acting as a strategic advisor to clients on risk transfer and insurance solutions. In addition to managing and growing your own portfolio, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a broader real estate platform and, over time, build and manage a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key players in the French real estate market, including investors, asset managers, developers, and property owners.
• Generate new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the firm's Real Estate Practice.
• Structure and place complex real estate insurance programmes with domestic and international insurers.
• Advise clients on risk management, insurance strategy, and programme optimisation.
• Negotiate policy wordings, coverage enhancements, and placement terms with insurers.
• Manage large and sophisticated property portfolios, including commercial, industrial, residential, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use assets.
• Collaborate with international teams on multinational real estate programmes and cross-border transactions.
• Develop opportunities with institutional investors, private equity firms, and real estate funds.
• Contribute to the long-term development of the firm's real estate strategy across France and Europe.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues, with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the practice expands.

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience within a Real Estate, Property, or Immobilier Insurance Broking role.
• Demonstrated track record of producing and placing business within the real estate sector.
• Established network among real estate owners, investment managers, property developers, and insurers.
• Strong technical knowledge of property insurance programmes and related coverages.
• Experience negotiating with both French and international insurance markets.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset.
• Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Fluent French and English.
