AI Full-Stack Engineer (m/f/d)

Remote within Germany | Permanent | Circa 5 years' experience
The opportunity

We're hiring an AI Full-Stack Engineer on behalf of a confidential client to build AI-powered business applications.

You'll work across the full development lifecycle, turning ideas into reliable production software. This is a hands-on role combining full-stack engineering, applied AI and close collaboration with product and business stakeholders.

What you'll do

Build applications end to end, covering user interfaces, backend services, databases and cloud deployment.
Develop frontends using React and TypeScript, with backend services in Python/FastAPI or Node.js.
Integrate LLMs into applications for document analysis, knowledge retrieval and workflow automation.
Build RAG pipelines using enterprise data, embeddings and vector search.
Improve AI reliability through evaluation, monitoring, source citations and appropriate safeguards.
Implement secure authentication, role-based access and data protection controls.
Own automated testing, CI/CD and production performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements, architecture and technical trade-offs.

What you'll bring

Around five years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial full-stack development.
Strong React and TypeScript skills, alongside backend experience in Python or Node.js.
Practical experience integrating LLMs or generative AI into applications, beyond using AI coding tools.
Solid knowledge of APIs, relational databases and maintainable software architecture.
Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure or GCP.
Familiarity with Docker, automated testing and CI/CD.
Clear communication, ownership and effective remote collaboration.
Professional proficiency in English. German is not required.

Five years of AI-specific experience is not expected.
Nice to have

Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of vector databases, LLM evaluation and observability.
Experience building multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise integrations.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code or asynchronous processing.
