Vice President, Economic Advisory
We are looking for a Vice President to join Kroll's Economic Advisory practice in Germany. In this role, you will help clients navigate complex competition, regulatory and commercial disputes by applying rigorous economic and econometric analysis to real-world business challenges.
Our Economic Advisory team advises leading corporations, law firms, financial institutions and government bodies on high-profile domestic and international matters, including antitrust investigations, merger reviews, damages quantification, commercial litigation, regulatory proceedings and international arbitration. As part of a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment, you will work alongside experienced economists and industry experts on some of the most complex and impactful cases in the market.

Vice President, Economic Advisory
We are looking for a Vice President to join Kroll's Economic Advisory practice in Germany. In this role, you will help clients navigate complex competition, regulatory and commercial disputes by applying rigorous economic and econometric analysis to real-world business challenges.
Our Economic Advisory team advises leading corporations, law firms, financial institutions and government bodies on high-profile domestic and international matters, including antitrust investigations, merger reviews, damages quantification, commercial litigation, regulatory proceedings and international arbitration. As part of a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment, you will work alongside experienced economists and industry experts on some of the most complex and impactful cases in the market.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of complex competition, regulatory and dispute-related engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Manage multiple project teams and provide strategic direction on economic, econometric and quantitative analyses.
- Develop and oversee robust empirical and theoretical approaches to address complex business, regulatory and litigation matters.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, external counsel, regulators and other stakeholders.
- Present findings and economic arguments to clients, competition authorities, sector regulators, courts and arbitration tribunals.
- Review and provide quality assurance for expert reports, presentations, submissions and other client deliverables.
- Contribute to case strategy and provide senior-level insight on key economic and commercial issues.
- Lead project planning, resource allocation and financial management across engagements.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client relationship management and identification of new opportunities.
- Contribute to the thought leadership and strategic growth of the practice.
Essential traits:
- Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
- Significant experience in economic consulting, competition economics, regulatory economics or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated track record of managing complex client engagements and leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong expertise in competition policy, antitrust, regulation, damages assessment, arbitration or related economic matters.
- Advanced experience using statistical and econometric software such as Stata, R, Python or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply economic theory to complex real-world challenges.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex economic concepts to senior executives, legal counsel and regulatory authorities.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Professional proficiency in English and German.
- Experience in energy economics, French language skills, or knowledge of Mathematica and other advanced analytical software packages would be advantageous.
