A Well Established Wholesale Bank is looking for an Assistant Manager with solid working experience to join their Treasury Settlement team.
Your new role
Oversee the daily settlement and processing of Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), Fixed Income, and Derivatives transactions.
Perform trade confirmation, trade matching, and payment execution to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
Liaise with counterparties, brokers, custodians, and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, settlement exceptions, and unmatched transactions.
Support bond settlement activities and manage derivative lifecycle events, including corporate actions, coupon payments, resets, and maturity events.
Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, prevent settlement failures, and handle complex escalated cases in a timely manner.
Maintain strong operational controls by enforcing segregation of duties and reviewing transaction processing, payment instructions, and system data changes.
Review, update, and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and support regulatory compliance.
Participate in system enhancement and transformation projects, including requirement gathering, UAT execution, issue resolution, and implementation support throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure smooth trade processing and effective operational support.
Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational scalability, and control effectiveness.
What you'll need to succeed
At least 5 years of relevant working experience with good product knowledge and guidelines in Treasury Products (including FX/MM, Securities, Repo, OTC derivatives etc.)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Sound knowledge of SWIFT, RTGS, CMU, HKTR, Creation Online System and PC skills including MS Office and Chinese Word Processing.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
