Job Summary:
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is looking for an Associate Vice President to join the AlgoTrade team under Global Client Development (GCD) within the Markets Division. GCD is responsible for business development, sales and relationship management across Proprietary Trading Firms, Market Makers, Brokers, Custodians, Institutional Buyside and Retail Clients to grow HKEX business revenue, increase market share and execute the HKEX corporate strategic plan. This position is based in Hong Kong.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities include:

• Drive HKEX's client development efforts with Proprietary Trading Firms, Market Makers, Hedge Funds and Quants Funds.
• Create and drive targeted, integrated and effective sales plans and revenue-generating initiatives across North Asia, aligned with business goals and strategies of the Markets division.
• Maintain a particular focus on Cash equity market coverage, including Single Stock and Equity Index Derivatives and Exchange Traded Products, with increasing emphasis on Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities landscape.
• Support other business initiatives, including, but not limited to, Market Data and Hosting services ecosystem.
• Understand market structure and client business challenges to identify and drive solutions with internal buy-in and approvals by working closely with relevant internal HKEX stakeholders in Hong Kong and other HKEX's International Offices.
• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned projects, specifically in relation to external client engagement.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of front-office business experience with Asian and Global clients across sales, trading, prime brokerage, research, vendor and/or business development functions in Asia.
• Core area of focus in Equities, including driving strategic initiatives and supporting the sales and distribution efforts; additional experience in Fixed income, FX or Money Markets would be an advantage.
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn, with experience in developing and managing client relationships across different seniority levels.
• Strong skills in managing and developing project management and client engagement processes aligned with business plans.
