Role Overview
A leading global investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Analyst or Associate to join its APAC Delta One Trading desk in Hong Kong. This Trading Assistant role combines client trading support across index products, equity swaps, and financing with the technical development of pricing tools, risk analytics, and workflow automation to drive desk efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Trading & Execution Support: Assist with daily APAC Delta One trading activities, client pricing inquiries, order execution, position/P&L monitoring, and tracking index rebalance events.
Analytics & Tool Development: Design, build, and maintain quantitative pricing applications, risk models, and trader-facing tools to support inventory management and trading decisions.
Automation & Optimization: Create automated data pipelines, interactive dashboards, and streamlined workflows to eliminate manual processes and improve desk scalability.
Requirements
Experience: 2-5 years of Trading Assistant experience within Delta One, Equity Financing, Prime Brokerage, Program Trading, or Equity Derivatives.
Technical Skills: Strong Python programming skills (for building tools, analytics, or automation) and solid experience working with SQL databases. Exposure to Streamlit, Power BI, APIs, or data integration tools is preferred.
Product Expertise: Solid understanding of equity swaps, futures, index products, and derivatives (familiarity with MSCI index rebalancing and inventory management is a plus).
Core Competencies: Sharp analytical capabilities, high quantitative acumen, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
