We Are Seeking: AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Compute Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with deep expertise in AWS infrastructure and compute services to help shape and scale the firm's cloud platform.

This role combines architecture, advisory, and hands-on engineering responsibilities. You will work closely with development teams, infrastructure groups, and business stakeholders to design reusable cloud solutions, establish best practices, and accelerate the delivery of secure and scalable cloud-native applications.

Experience working within buy-side firms, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or other large-scale, performance-sensitive environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud architecture patterns and best practices
• Advise application and engineering teams on cloud-native solution design
• Support the delivery of new applications, services, and cloud platforms
• Drive standardisation across cloud deployments and operating models
• Define secure, scalable, and supportable AWS architectures
• Collaborate with internal teams to solve common platform and infrastructure challenges
• Evaluate new AWS services and recommend adoption opportunities
• Partner with cloud providers and internal stakeholders to improve platform capabilities

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions
• Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure services, networking, and security
• Deep experience with AWS compute platforms, including:
• EC2
• ECS
• EKS
• Kubernetes
• Lambda
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud architectures
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native workloads at scale
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform or similar)
• Good programming or scripting skills (Python preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly Relevant Experience

• AWS architecture advisory or platform engineering roles
• Large-scale cloud transformation or cloud-native adoption programmes
• Multi-account AWS environments
• Container platforms and Kubernetes ecosystems
• Financial services, trading, or highly regulated environments
• Cloud governance, security, and platform standards
