Job Description

As a Compliance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Risk Management & Internal Audits (25%)

• Coordinate and track internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
• Manage audit follow-up processes and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct and maintain APAC risk assessments across operational, regulatory, legal, and strategic risk areas.
• Maintain and regularly update the legal and compliance risk register.
• Monitor key risk indicators and support risk mitigation initiatives.

2. Compliance Governance & Documentation (20%)

• Develop, review, and maintain corporate policies, standards, and procedures.
• Establish and manage compliance documentation repositories and governance frameworks.
• Maintain a centralized compliance library and ensure document control standards are met.
• Provide compliance advisory support to business units on governance and regulatory matters.
• Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives.

3. Information Security, Data Protection & HSE Compliance (20%)

• Provide day-to-day compliance guidance relating to Information Security, Data Protection, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Support business stakeholders in interpreting and implementing compliance controls.
• Monitor compliance obligations and promote awareness of relevant policies and standards.
• Coordinate remediation activities for compliance gaps and control weaknesses.

4. ISO & Compliance Programs (20%)

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
• Coordinate internal and external certification audits.
• Facilitate Business Continuity Planning (BCP) testing and simulation exercises.
• Drive regional compliance initiatives and governance programs.
• Monitor compliance program effectiveness and report progress to management.

5. Client/Vendor Compliance, Incident Reporting, Training & Stakeholder Coordination (15%)

• Respond to client compliance questionnaires, due diligence requests, and audits.
• Conduct vendor risk assessments and third-party compliance reviews.
• Coordinate incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action tracking.
• Develop and deliver compliance awareness and training programs.
• Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective compliance management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Manager should have:

• A strong background in legal and regulatory compliance, particularly within the business services industry.
• Excellent knowledge of compliance frameworks and relevant laws in Hong Kong.
• Proven ability to manage and mitigate risks effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and reports.
• A proactive and analytical mindset to identify and resolve compliance issues efficiently.
