Our client - A leading hedge fund is looking for a Director, Cloud Security. The role will work closely with global cloud security functions and lead the team across different APAC regions

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead cloud security operations across APAC AWS environments, including monitoring, remediation, and escalation of security findings.
2. Implement global cloud security strategy within the region, enforcing IAM, SCPs, encryption standards, and security guardrails.
3. Act as senior regional escalation point for cloud security matters, raising systemic or architectural risks to global leadership with clear recommendations.
4. Manage and mentor APAC-based cloud security engineers and operations specialists.
5. Partner with regional stakeholders to embed security into cloud projects and drive execution of global security uplift initiatives.
6. Provide structured reporting on regional cloud security posture, risks, and remediation progress.
7. Contribute regional insights to global cloud security planning and maturity initiatives.

1. Hands-on AWS cloud security engineering and operations experience
2. Strong grasp of IAM, SCPs, encryption, and AWS-native security tools
3. Proven team leadership in cloud or platform security
4. Ability to translate global strategy into regional execution
5. Strong stakeholder management and risk communication skills
