My client is a PE firm who wants to hire a Finance Manager.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing the financial performance and reporting of portfolio companies across Asia, including the review of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, forecasts, business plans, cash flow projections, and other key financial information.
- Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance frameworks within portfolio businesses.
- Act as a key liaison between portfolio company finance teams and external advisors, including auditors, tax consultants, and legal counsel, while collaborating closely with internal investment professionals.
- Provide finance-related support throughout transaction lifecycles, including financial analysis, due diligence coordination, business plan validation, information request management, and interaction with external service providers.
- Drive the development and implementation of standardized reporting tools, governance frameworks, and operational processes to strengthen portfolio monitoring across the Asia region, particularly China and India.
- Contribute to building a scalable and sustainable portfolio finance infrastructure by enhancing oversight capabilities, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity across the region.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience gained in audit, transaction services, financial analysis, or corporate finance environments.
- Prior experience from a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, financial analysis techniques, internal controls, and corporate governance practices.
- Exposure to private companies, investment holding structures, portfolio businesses, multinational organizations, and cross-border operations would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience working with both Mainland China and India-based businesses is strongly preferred.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify key financial and operational issues.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach, capable of managing responsibilities independently and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple functions, external advisors, and jurisdictions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
- 12 months' salary plus discretionary bonus.
- Permanent position in the healthcare industry based in Hong Kong.
