Tribus is partnering with a top-tier global trading firm to hire a Senior C++ Developer for its Hong Kong team. This is a front-office role building the high-performance systems behind the firm’s derivatives trading.
You’ll work directly with quantitative researchers and traders, turning trading ideas into robust, low-latency production code. This is a hands-on role with real ownership of key parts of the platform, and your work has a direct effect on trading performance.
What you’ll do
- Design, build and optimise latency-sensitive trading systems in C++
- Develop components across pricing, risk controls, order management, market data and exchange connectivity
- Work closely with quants and traders to deliver new trading functionality
- Own the full development lifecycle, from design and testing through deployment and monitoring
- Investigate and resolve performance and production issues
- Use modern engineering practices and tooling, including AI-assisted development
What we’re looking for
- Strong professional experience in modern C++ on Linux
- A track record of building low-latency, high-performance systems
- Solid understanding of concurrency, profiling and performance tuning
- Knowledge of networking and messaging (TCP/IP, UDP multicast, FIX or similar)
- Experience working with front-office stakeholders
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience
Why apply
- Front-office impact in a small, high-calibre team
- The backing and resources of a leading global firm
- Hard, interesting technical problems
- A Hong Kong base with low tax and a global finance hub on your doorstep
- Full relocation support for overseas candidates
