You will join a dynamic Business Control and Treasury Operations team responsible for end-to-end settlement, daily market transaction oversight, and regulatory reporting. Assist in controlling and supervising the daily operation of various market transactions to achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Provide guidance and advice to subordinates and monitor work performance to consistently meet service standards.
Confirm the accuracy of operational reports for management, local regulatory authorities, and Head Office.
Monitor settlement risks and resolve complex operational issues to ensure seamless settlement execution.
Approve system transactions and authorise payments following thorough verification of trade details, entries, and documentation exchanged with counter-parties.
Support the group head in setting and achieving departmental business objectives.
Streamline operations, strengthen internal risk controls, update operational manuals, and conduct staff training to elevate work quality.
Lead new operational projects or assignments and perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
skills & experiences required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in treasury market operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management position.
Bachelor's degree holder in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines; post-graduate qualifications are an advantage.
Sound technical knowledge of treasury products and operational processes, including Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Cross Currency Swaps, Debt Capital Markets, and securities settlement (e.g. HKD Exchange Fund Bills and Bonds).
Deep familiarity with financial market infrastructure and systems, including SWIFT, CHATS, and CMU.
Strong understanding of global settlement practices, HKMA regulatory requirements, and OTC Derivatives Transaction Repository reporting obligations.
Fluent command of both English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with high proficiency in MS Office applications.
