ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst & BI Reporting Specialist with strong expertise in Grafana to design, develop, and maintain reporting, visualization, and analytics solutions across operational and business domains. This role will provide technical expertise in dashboard development, KPI definition, data analysis, and reporting best practices, supporting data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements, define meaningful KPIs, and develop intuitive and scalable dashboards and visualizations. The role will focus on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through Grafana while ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability across reporting solutions.

The role requires strong partnership with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions accurately reflect business needs, provide meaningful operational insights, and support strategic decision-making. Knowledge of network management and operational monitoring environments is considered an advantage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Grafana dashboards and reporting solutions, ensuring scalability, consistency, and best practices.

• Define, develop, and maintain business and operational KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks.

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance improvement initiatives.

• Develop complex SQL queries and data models to support reporting, visualization, and analytical requirements.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.

• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations that support operational performance monitoring and business decision-making.

• Establish and promote reporting standards, dashboard governance, and visualization best practices.

• Partner closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions.

• Support operational reviews, incident investigations, and performance analysis through data-driven insights and reporting.

• Define and track reporting metrics and KPIs, providing regular performance reporting and trend analysis.

• Contribute to forecasting, capacity planning, and advanced analytics initiatives where required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master's preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Analytics-related disciplines.

• Strong hands-on experience with Grafana, including dashboard development, advanced visualizations, variables, alerting, and reporting capabilities.

• Understanding of network management, service monitoring, operational performance metrics, or similar operational environments is considered an advantage.

• Proven experience designing and implementing reporting frameworks, KPI structures, and dashboard solutions across multiple business functions.

• Advanced SQL proficiency with experience analyzing and working with large-scale datasets.

• Experience developing and maintaining KPI-driven reporting solutions and performance dashboards.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data visualization principles, and reporting best practices.

• Working knowledge of Databricks and modern data analytics platforms, with the ability to explore datasets, understand data structures, and collaborate effectively with Data Engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Business Intelligence and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar), with working knowledge of Power BI considered beneficial.

• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating with Business Analysts, Developers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on data quality and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
